Can you get in trouble by pretending to be sombody on myspace if the person isnt even famous?
Myspace???
If they find out and report you yes, your whole account will be deleted.
I also heard Possing as someone else is a crime..
But people who do that need a life and get off of myspace.
Myspace???
YES
Myspace???
no u cant
Myspace???
no
Myspace???
no. but that is a really stupid thing to do and the person will probly be realllly mad!
Myspace???
People do it lots of times.
I did before... I'm bad. :[
Myspace???
idk
Myspace???
no
just dont let that person find it
Myspace???
u can get caught because the people that u type can report u and then tom will look at it and maybe kick u off myspace
Myspace???
Yep, if someone reports you.
Myspace???
fraud?
Myspace???
As long as you dont do any illegal activites, or infringe on copyright laws, you should be fine.
Myspace???
IDK, but that's sick, a blatant infringement of privacy.
Myspace???
well it more likely depends if you pick the right person but dude you have to a poser to do that not a good choice
Myspace???
Nope. Or at least I don't think so
Myspace???
yes. i am a police cadet and can confidently tell you that is illegal. that is misrepresentation of you and the other person and can be considered a form of forgery, no matter if they are famous or not!
Myspace???
Yes, if you're pretending to be someone that really exists; its called fraud.
Myspace???
noperss :)
Myspace???
I don't think you can get in trouble for it but i wouldn't advise for you to do it. Starting drama and stuff like that just isn't the right thing to do.
Myspace???
no but are u stalking someone or something or are u asking because someone did it to u
Myspace???
as long as your not being mean or harsh in any way.
but i think like a prank myspace, you wouldnt get into trouble.
but no one will know, unless you have
information about yourself on there.
Myspace???
Not really, but the thing is who you are pretending to be and if that person catches you and calls you out on it. I have seen it happen plenty of times someone post a person than the actually person yells at them online and may post rude blogs about that person being a fake. So really it's more circumstance than anything.
Myspace???
I don't know the law but can't see why a normal person shouldn't be given the same protection as a famous one.
If this wasn't the case i don't know how they define when a person becomes famous enough for you to not be allowed do it.
It's a form of identity theft to me. i would advice you dont do it
Myspace???
I am not sure but I would watch what you say on it. They had some police officers from my town that said something on their personal myspace and it got reported. They lost their jobs and everything.
Myspace???
nope. just dont do anything illegal.
Myspace???
Sadly enough (even though you shouldn't be and I understand it might be fun and games and with a friend) but in this day in age where everyone sues anyone over anything, I'm sure some smart lawyer depending on what you did/do or said/say could figure out some defamation of character or something like that...maybe not that far as legal problems but possibly a ban from Myspace...depends on how the person feels that you were pretending to be if they find out.
Myspace???
not if you say it's a fan site
~Kylieé‘´?/p>
Myspace???
Legally probably not.
Morally it is wrong. Remember that woman who pretended to be a teen-age boy as a trick on a thirteen year old girl in her neighborhood? That woman did not break any laws but people think she is garbage now. Do you want to be as icky, (yes, I am heavily self-editing for language), as that woman?
Myspace???
yeah but most likely the profile will be deleted because its an imposter profile
Myspace???
I don't think so, laws like libel and slander only apply to persons in the public eye, i believe...
Although Myspace has a system of checks and balances so if u are discovered, myspace will cancel the account.
Myspace???
i wud feel awful if i did that,so why do you want to?nope you dont get in trouble.its hard to get fans tho
