..by famous i mean people in the public eye and i dont include politicians with an agenda to pedal

and by the internet i mean chat rooms dating sites and forums, which the rest of us use for networking and meeting new people

i know plenty of people pretend to be celebs and i know plenty of celebs have PR Managed myspace sites etc...these don't count for this question

my interest is in whether celebs manage to have a normal life online - i'd imagine it would be either a nightmare of constantly evading and never making good friends, or a great escape allowing them to eventually find people who can see past the sparkle

I know close associates of Anna Nicole Smith said after her son's death she would read all of the horrible things that people wrote about her on the internet, which is absolutely awful. If you've ever seen the stuff they write it's just vile.
