i'll give you two examples Tila Tequila and Smosh

Tila is from myspace and one of the first people ever to go one it she was beautiful and on Tom's top friends for a while thats mainly how she becamse famous

Smosh had a halarious hit off of some of there webcam films now there stars in youtube and number one suscribed they use 2000 doller camaras now and film short comady films

Chris Crocker is also even though i hate him hes more of a attention whore

If you like to do it and are creative then yeah i think you may have a chance, if its horrable directing and no creativity then no you don't have much of one

YES!!! there is!!! Esmee Denters was discovered on Youtube, and Taylor Swift was discovered from Myspace! Just post videos and stuff and get your friends and family to tell other people to check you out. Just keep adding videos and wait.

You can (according to all the examples above) but I wouldn't rely heavily on these sites. If you really want to become famous, I'd go knocking on different doors. Are you an actress? If you are, then I'd try different stuff, unless you're going for TV, then YouTube would be a good idea...but you have to have talent.
