Depends. Some of them are fake. Most artists DO have their own MySpace page, just for the publicity. Usually, it isn't the actual artist who messes with the page: It's their record company.

Unless you have heard the "famous" person give out their myspace address (and some do) then they are probably fake. And even the ones who give out an address, probably don't even run the page themselves. They probably have someone else run it.
